The Bridge Bible Fellowship is working on a Missions Sunday mini-conference to help renew an understanding and love for what God is doing around the world as he builds his Church. The Missions Team is planning this special Missions Sunday for March 9, 2025. Please put it on your calendar and plan to attend!
Massimo and Susanna Mollica from Italy will be joining us. I’m also working to get a couple of other church-supported missionaries to lead sessions during the second hour – Bridge Kids included.
First Hour (9:00-10:30) – Massimo to preach on biblical missions and the role of the local church in missions.
Second Hour (11:00-12:30) – Massimo and family to talk more informally about how God has used them in Italy, the state of the church in Italy, and what Massimo’s role will now be with Grace Mission International (GMI). A couple more sessions/groups will have missionaries speaking about God’s work where they are serving around the world. I’m still confirming with missionaries – details TBD.
We would love all groups to participate and be involved in learning from our missionaries.
Lunch (12:30-2:00) – Join together for an International-themed meal and prayer time for missions with a focus on The Bridge-supported missionaries. Our missionaries will greet the congregation during this time and interact in an informal way.
Potluck Sign-up Sheet – in process, but feel free to sign up or suggest more items.
Our Goal
The goal of our missions ministry is to make disciples of all nations. Our first priority is to reach unreached people groups with the Good News of Jesus Christ in order to make disciples and plant churches.
Our Purpose & Philosophy
Our purpose is to send and support disciple-making and church-planting missionaries to all nations, regardless of culture, distance, or language. Our motivation is love for and obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ. To fulfill our purpose, the Missions Team is appointed, approved, and formed under the oversight of the Board of Elders. The Missions Team assists the Board of Elders in preparing missionary candidates and then sending missionaries who are gifted, trained, experienced, and proven leaders. These leaders will plant churches, support and assist church planters, and mobilize trained indigenous leaders and pastors to be church planters. The Bridge supports many missionaries both in the United States and around the world. If you would like more information on a particular missionary, please contact the church office.
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
Our Missions Team: Rich Weitzel (chairman), Jan Kolstad, Marlene VanAlstine, Toni McCurdy, Sami Dahdal, Jeanna Williams, Joanne Woodruff, Amber Boeker, and Pastor Marc Boeker

Since 2019, Bob served in the role of International Coordinator for Bible Translation for Ethnos360 and has checked translations in 22 different language groups over the last 20+ years (several of them multiple times). Translation, Evangelism, Training – Denmark
NodicHope Press provides for a biblical literary journey where biblically grounded and theologically sound resources are translated from English to Danish. Mike Bachman works full-time for NordicHope Press as a translator, proofreader and administrative manager.
With no family commitments, I have dedicated my time to Aarhus Bible church where I serve as a deacon and evangelist. I spend my time translating Christian literature into Danish and mentoring the singles in our church and training them in evangelism. Almost every Friday, we set up a stall at the train station in Aarhus. From there, we hand out water, cookies, Bibles, literature and tracts.

Brad & Lisa*
Based in So Cal, training cross-cultural workers for the 10/40 window with Studio, a program for new cross-cultural workers. Candidates preparing for ministry overseas spend three months studying and practicing what they are learning in hands-on ministry among refugees and immigrants. Studio interns and their families live together in an immigrant neighborhood and study under experienced overseas workers. They learn to build relationships with refugee neighbors, serve them in practical ways such as English tutoring, and share the Good News with them. Brad & Lisa have been part of the founding leadership team since 2017 and are thrilled to see Studio graduates in fruitful and resilient ministry in more than 30 countries.

After seminary, Ken and Debby were led to begin full-time ministry among Japanese living in the United States. Massimo & Susanna Mollica
Church planters in Genoa, Italy
Italy is a country of nearly sixty million people with less than 0.8% of the people being professing evangelicals. The country is steeped in Roman Catholicism and never experienced the Protestant Reformation. Over the centuries following the Reformation, evangelicals have been discriminated against and even killed as “heretics.” While some of this extreme persecution does not exist anymore, ministry is still challenging because of the strength of the Roman Catholic church in Italian culture.
The Mollicas are currently involved in church planting ministries and in theological education through the Italian Theological Academy (part of the Master’s Academy International).

John & Monica Z
We are dedicated to glorify God by fulfilling the Great Commission. One way to fulfill the Great Commission is to teach believers to obey all that Jesus has commanded (Matt. 28:20). One of the best ways to accomplish this is through sequential expository preaching through books of the Bible. We are dedicated to raise up church leaders who can preach the Bible with passion and accuracy in order to help believers to increase their worship of God. Solid sequential expository preaching is lacking in this country.
