Isn’t it good to be forgiven?
I was thinking just that when I was reflecting on the words from David in Psalm 32, “How blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered!” (Ps 32:1) Do you know this blessing? Have you been forgiven through the sacrifice of Jesus? If you have then we ought to rejoice as David does and realize how good it is to be forgiven. David says that he confessed his sin and was forgiven and his guilt was cleared (v.5).
How good! Forgiven, declared not-guilty! Though we are guilty, Jesus says, “innocent.” Though we are sinful, He says, “your sin is gone.” Oh how good! Can we ever stop rejoicing in that amazing truth! Let’s be thankful to God today for this forgiveness, let’s pour out forgiveness towards others who may offend us, and let’s sing out of gratitude to the God who forgives.
