As school classes and extracurricular activities ramp up, think about this… what kind of advice is filling your heart and mind? Are you listening to worldly wisdom and the desires of your own deceitful heart, or are you giving attention to God’s truth and the instruction His Word provides? Sunday mornings we are taking deep looks at applying Biblical wisdom to daily struggles and issues.
Make it a priority to join us as we continue discussing difficult topics from a Biblical worldview. This week we looked at how to Biblically address Fear & Anxiety and studied a few passages that are sufficient to address our faulty beliefs, thoughts, actions, and attitudes by the power of the Spirit within believers.
This coming week we will be joining other classes in Burch Hall during the 11AM service to hear from several visitors connected to Shepherding The Nations, a ministry of The Bridge.
Wednesdays
As we work through Genesis, there are two big questions toward which the narative points… How will God cause the promised “seed” to survive (Gen 3:15)? & Can God Be Trusted?
Through Abram’s life, we have seen how God is constantly and graciously at work to fulfill his promises. Genesis 12 demonstrated God chooses to work through whomever he chooses not based on merit or self-righteousness, but based on His own goodness, grace, and mercy. Genesis 13 demonstrated that even when Abram was indecisive and allowed Lot to choose the land for his flocks, God was still working to protect and provide for Abram. Then in Genesis 14, as a massive battle takes place with 5 kings against 4, Lot’s capture is reversed by Abram’s militia of 318 men! God’s work in Abram was showing in His trust of God’s protection.
As we review these familiar accounts in Genesis, we remember that just as God always kept His promises, and was a merciful saving God to Abraham, He is the same for us today.

Bridge Youth partners with parents to make God famous (1 Cor. 10:31) by encouraging teens to take the next step in their Spiritual walk (2 Peter 1:3–11), to value Jesus and His Word above all (Col 1:15-20), to commit themselves to personal and corporate worship (John 4:21–24), and to share their faith with others in their world (Matt 18:28–29).
All 6th through 12th-grade students are welcome!
