TBBF Faithful Men

TBBF “Faith Men” Leadership Class starts THIS Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the K Building (K-8).

Pastor Randy sent an All-Church email out on Wednesday, (1/12), inviting all of our men to join this new training program entitled, “Faithful Men.” A copy of his email can be found below. Men, if you are interested in attending, please email Pastor Randy at Randy@bridgebible.church. We’re anxious to see what the Lord will do through this “Faithful Men” training opportunity.

The book of “2 Timothy” was written as Paul’s final words to his protege. His life on this earth was about to come to an end. So, his words were filled with a sense of urgency. Paul implores Timothy:

The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.

Paul knew that his time for working with faithful men was OVER! Timothy must continue the work. So, Paul wanted to make sure that this was Timothy’s focus. There was NOTHING more important.

Paul taught Timothy, who taught faithful men, who then taught other faithful men. And this has continued for 2,000 years! Faithful men taught me, and other faithful men taught them, and so on all the way back to Timothy and Paul.

What about you? Who have been the faithful men teaching you? Who have you been teaching?

Maybe you’re a faithful man who has also taught others.

Maybe you’re a faithful man who has not yet taught others.

Maybe you’re a man who is still learning to become a faithful man.

Maybe you’re a man who wants to become a faithful man.

No matter which of these describes you, we are looking to get as many men at The Bridge as possible to participate in a new training program that is patterned after Paul’s charge to Timothy. We’re calling this training time, “Faithful Men.”

The invitation for this training is offered to every man in the church. Even all of the pastors and the elders of The Bridge will be participating in the training. We are all motivated to keep learning and growing by these words from the Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:12-14,

Not that I have already obtained it or have already become perfect, but I press on so that I may lay hold of that for which I was also laid hold of by Christ Jesus. Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do; forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

Brothers! Don’t you want that prize which Paul was seeking after? No matter where you are in life God wants you to forget about the past and keep pressing on towards greater and greater maturity and Christlikeness!

So, we’re inviting each man to join us in this mission. We’re inviting you!

As “Faithful Men” we are going to meet every 4th Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 in the K-building. Our first meeting will be Tuesday, January 25th at 6:30 pm.

We will discuss the plan and all of the expectations that come with being a faithful man during this first meeting. You can come and see and determine whether you are able to commit to this training. It will not be easybut it will be worth it!

If you are interested in coming, please RSVP by replying to this email.

The Lord Jesus is building His church, the greatest organization in the world! Come and learn to be used in greater and greater ways for God’s glory.
