This week we’ll look briefly at THE UNEQUIPPED GRANDPARENT.
An Unequipped Grandparent loves Jesus and loves his or her grandchildren, but is unaware of the many tools designed to help them disciple their grandchildren. Choosing to intentionally invest time or resources to be a spiritual influencer may not have even occurred to unequipped grandparents.
There are more resources than ever to help grandparents who want to be intentional about sharing their faith with their grandchildren: apps, conversation starters, games, books — the list goes on. One great resource for a Christian grandparent who wants to move toward intentionality is a grandparenting ministry. Grandparenting ministry groups provide ideas, strategies and encouragement to help build strong family relationships, which is the starting point for investing in a grandchild’s spiritual development.
