CAN YOU HELP WITH EASTER?

What a blessing it was this past Sunday to hear our choir sing! If you would like to be part of that team for Easter Sunday, then you can contact Tim Durand about joining the choir. OR maybe you have played an orchestral instrument and are interested in joining the orchestra for Easter Sunday. If so, please contact Tim Durand and he would be thrilled to hear from you.

There are also a number of other needs we have for Easter and ongoing on Sunday mornings. If you are willing and able to learn how to do the slides, soundboard, livestream, lighting, or video, please contact Dave Grinnell and he would be happy to have you join our tech team. We really could use additional volunteers in this area, so please consider whether this is something you could do to serve our church.

As I am reminded of these few areas of service, I just want to thank all of the volunteers at our church. There is so much happening behind the scenes, and I’m so glad to be part of a church where so many members are joyfully serving one another and the Lord.

COME, BEHOLD THE WONDROUS MYSTERY

This hymn was written in 2013 by Matt Boswell, Michael Bleecker, and Matt Papa. It is rich with gospel truths that are worthy of reflecting on. Below are the lyrics for this hymn. For a full article on the creation of this hymn click here.

Verse 1

Come behold the wondrous mystery
In the dawning of the King
He, the theme of heaven’s praises
Robed in frail humanity
In our longing, in our darkness
Now the Light of Life has come
Look to Christ, who condescended
Took on flesh to ransom us

Verse 2

Come behold the wondrous mystery
He, the perfect Son of Man
In His living, in His suffering
Never trace nor stain of sin
See the true and better Adam
Come to save the hell-bound man
Christ the great and sure fulfillment
Of the law; in Him we stand

Verse 3

Come behold the wondrous mystery
Christ, the Lord upon the tree
In the stead of ruined sinners
Hangs the Lamb in victory
See the price of our redemption
See the Father’s plan unfold
Bringing many sons to glory
Grace unmeasured, love untold

Verse 4

Come behold the wondrous mystery
Slain by death, the God of life
But no grave could e’er restrain Him
Praise the Lord; He is alive
What a foretaste of deliverance
How unwavering our hope
Christ in power resurrected
As we will be when He comes

I encourage you to reflect on, pray through, and soak in these truths this week as you prepare for our time of worship on Sunday. Consider how you have been impacted by God’s plan of redemption.

Can’t wait for Sunday!
