Next Membership Class (Online via Zoom) – 10-18-20

How do I become a member of The Bridge Bible Fellowship?

We invite you to join this local body as we seek to know our Lord Jesus Christ and to make Him known!

Prior to the pandemic, we offered Membership Classes here at The Bridge on a quarterly basis on Sunday afternoons. Now, we have scheduled our next Membership Class online via Zoom for Sunday, October 18th, 1-4 pm.

If you are interested in attending this class, please contact Diane Baker (Tuesday-Thursday in the Church Office at 818.776.1500 ext. 136 or dbaker@tbbfchurch.org). If you have already RSVP’d, class materials and the Zoom call specifics will be emailed by end of day 10/2/20. If you have not yet let us know you’d like to participate, please do so right away.

After completion of the class, you will need to submit an Application for Membership (which will be approved by a Pastor/Elder), you will be interviewed and then, if approved, will be introduced to the church and offered the “Right Hand of Fellowship.”

Within this class, we will go over the following:

1. What We Believe

This is an introduction to the doctrinal statement of The Bridge Bible Fellowship. We will review some particular doctrinal distinctive of our church, including the doctrine of God, the doctrine of the Holy Scriptures, the doctrine of Man, the doctrine of Salvation, the doctrine of the Church and the doctrine of Last Things.

2. Membership

This will answer some important questions: What is church membership? Why is membership important? What’s involved in becoming a member and identifying with this local body of believers? Scripture places a high value on the local body of believers as we follow Christ. Membership at The Bridge Bible Fellowship is identifying with this local church.

3. Discipleship

We are committed to you! Our desire is for you to be encouraged and strengthened in your relationships with Christ and others (Acts 2:42-47). We have numerous discipleship groups for any adult age, life stage and gender. It doesn’t matter if you are new to the church or have just been disconnected, there is a group waiting for you to join them.

What is discipleship and why is it important? What is the purpose of a discipleship group (small group)? What kinds of discipleship groups do you have? Is there a place for me?

4. Baptism

We look at questions like…What is baptism? Should I be baptized? The Bridge Bible Fellowship follows the Lord’s example of baptism. Baptism practice baptism by immersion as it provides a clear picture of our new life in Christ (Rom. 6:3-4).

If you have any questions, please contact Diane Baker. We look forward to you becoming a member of our TBBF family soon!
